Each state has laws and ordinances governing the operation of vehicles and trailers, including, but not limited to, operation of trailer brakes, chains, and weight. Additional laws govern the securing of cargo in transit, including, but not limited to, using the right tools to secure the cargo in place, overhanging cargo, and weight. Ruck is not responsible for your knowledge or adherence to the law.
Handling and transporting heavy and large cargo, specifically building supplies, is inherently dangerous. Ruck is only an intermediary in a marketplace of delivery requests. Each driver is responsible for determining whether they, and their vehicles, are capable of safely loading, transporting, and unloading the cargo described in each order. Additionally, upon seeing the cargo in person, each driver is required to reject the order if they determine themselves or their vehicles to be incapable of loading, transporting, and unloading the cargo safely.
If you, as the driver, accept and begin to load the cargo onto your vehicles, your actions represent that you fully accept the liabilities associated with loading, transporting, and unloading the cargo for each order. You also waive Ruck's liability in the loading, transporting, and unloading of the cargo.
